The Tennessee circuit routinely struggles to support and uplift novice debaters, instead concentrating energy towards a select few debaters whose legacy ends when they graduate. Throughout the state, there is a lack of structured support for new debaters that manifests in both poor retention and competitiveness. By connecting novices with high-quality national resources from Equality in Forensics, the Tennessee Chapter hopes to bridge those gaps by fostering an inclusive community of debaters that connects novices with the resources they need to reach their full potential.
