There is a substantial disparity between speech and debate circuits within Texas, wherein the majority of well-funded schools and teams compete in the TFA alongside the Texas Chapter's most active members, while underfunded schools that compete on the UIL circuit often lack access to the high-quality resources needed to be successful. The Texas Chapter exists to close that gap, hosting events at UIL tournaments and reaching out to underprivileged debaters with Equality in Forensics programs and resources that can help them reach their full potential.
