Across Oklahoma, many schools are completely unable to pay for major out-of-state tournaments, including NSDA Nationals. The issue is most prominent for rural schools across the state, which struggle to access the same resources as those typical of larger speech and debate states. The Oklahoma Chapter plans to host fundraisers and social events that can support underprivileged teams throughout the state. They also hope to conduct outreach to grow the chapter and improve member participation through active meetings that can improve the success of fundraising initiatives.
