Throughout Minnesota, the speech and debate circuit has normalized harassment and sexism against marginalized competitors, severely harming their competitive success and community. In addition to providing an inclusive group of equity-minded students, the Minnesota Chapter is hoping to work alongside coaches and other officials to create a direct and easy-to-access reporting method within the MSHSL, NSDA qualifiers, and NIETOC that will ensure speech and debate is a safe, welcoming space for everyone.
