Small schools throughout Arizona often struggle to access the same resources and competitive opportunities available to more established schools. Judging requirements often make competitions prohibitive for newer teams who lack the connections to bring judges or the funds to hire them. The Arizona Chapter works to address this problem through fundraisers that support the Arizona Speech and Debate Coaches Association, allowing low-income schools to hire judges at a reduced price. They also promote Equality in Forensics' free tournaments and scrimmages, providing more opportunities to debate at no cost.
