Resources Director
Wareesha Islam is a sophomore at BASIS Chandler in Arizona, where she serves as Debate Captain of her team and competes in Lincoln-Douglas debate and Extemporaneous Speaking.
After finding out about Equality in Forensics in the summer and engaging with their resources, she was quickly promoted to Deputy Director of Resources after applying. Wareesha led Equality in Forensics' expansion into PF, LD, and CX, successfully publishing three resource centers in the span of only 5 months. She oversaw and led 60-70 people in the resource teams to work on not only the resource centers but also on YouTube content and potential partnerships. Upon seeing her work, Wareesha was then promoted to a new executive board position: Resources Director.
As Resources Director, Wareesha directs and leads all of EIF’s resource teams and resource development, as well as expansion into new events. She collaborates closely with her project leads to create resources in the form of guides, YouTube content, and evidence. She also leads the regular publishing of demo debates and topic analyses.
