Katie Gorman is a junior at Woodlands Academy in Illinois, where she serves as a Research Lead of her team and competes in Congressional and Policy Debate.

After becoming a student for the Equality in Forensics congress coaching program, Katie joined the national staff, writing articles for the blog in April 2024. They were later promoted to Blog Editor-in-Chief, innovating the blog to become more solutions-focused and using a more creative Instagram format. In their capacity as Outreach Director, Katie has led Equality in Forensics' marketing campaigns at NSDA Nationals, the Equality in Forensics newsletter, and more. She led a team in creating short-form content on social media platforms, included sustained growth on TikTok and Instagram.

As Executive Director, Katie leads the vision and planning of all Equality in Forensics programs and resources. She also runs Executive Board meetings and manages the nonprofit's partnerships with other speech and debate organizations, including the NSDA.
