Katie Gorman is a junior at Woodlands Academy in Illinois, where she serves as a Research Lead of her team and competes in Congressional and Policy Debate.

After becoming a student for the Equality in Forensics congress coaching program, Katie joined the national staff, writing articles for the blog in April 2024. They were later promoted to Blog Editor-in-Chief, innovating the blog to become more solutions-focused and using a more creative Instagram format. In their capacity as Outreach Director, Katie has led Equality in Forensics' marketing campaigns at NSDA Nationals, the Equality in Forensics newsletter, and more. 

As Outreach Director, Katie leads the push to get the resources of Equality in Forensics to as many people as possible. In doing so, she has led a team in creating short-form content for Equality in Forensics, rapidly expanding the organization's presence on TikTok and other social media platforms. They also oversee all social media accounts of the organization.
