Secretary, Board Emeritus
Creighton Getting is a James Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the former Operations Director of Equality in Forensics. Ranking as high as #1 in Illinois across all speech and debate events in high school, he served on both the NSDA World Schools Debate Education Program and the NSDA Student Leadership Council.
In Creighton's two years on the Board of Directors, he headed everything from curriculum and coaching to human resources and expansion. His vision for the organization's growth led to the creation of Deputy Directors, volunteer recognition through the President's Volunteer Service Award, and independent entries under Equality Independent. During his tenure as Operations Director, Creighton led the expansion of the organization from 50 to more than 800 volunteers and consulted on a variety of Equality in Forensics programs through data-based analyses. He also founded the Illinois Chapter and led efforts for Equality in Forensics to receive its first-ever grant.
He continues to give back to Equality in Forensics and the speech and debate community at-large, serving as Vice Chair of the Board Emeritus.
