AmandaLesly is a sophomore at Florida State University and the former Event Director of Equality in Forensics. She used to compete in World Schools Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking.
Prior to her graduation from Wildwood Middle High School in Florida, she served as Event Director. In that capacity, she led several tournaments such as the 2nd Annual Winter Championship and 3rd Annual Spring Break Special. She also supported a number of weekly scrimmages and the 2024 Summer Camp in an administrative capacity. AmandaLesly was also heavily involved in Equality in Forensics prior to joining the Board of Directors, where she wrote for the Red Folder and blog, judged at tournaments, and onboarded resources for the Congressional Debate Resource Center.
AmandaLesly's time as Event Director was defined most by the expansion of live lectures, creating dozens of YouTube videos covering a variety of topics and events for thousands of debaters across the U.S. She also prioritized community engagement, greatly expanding the Equality in Forensics discord server during her tenure while also heading the organization's infamous April Fool's programming.
