Waleed is a student at Stanford University and a former Director At-Large for Equality in Forensics. In high school, he was ranked #2 in the nation for extemporaneous speaking while serving on the NSDA Student Leadership Council and president of Hendrickson High School's speech and debate team.
In his three years on the Board of Directors, Waleed led partnerships with many leading organizations in the speech and debate space, including the Academy37 and the NSDA. Waleed continues to support the speech and debate community by serving on Equality in Forensics' Board Emeritus, where he offers guidance to the Board of Directors in accordance with the organization's mission: speech and debate for all. He's also founded Salam Speaks to build civic awareness and speaking skills within the Muslim community.
