Meilyn is a sophomore at The Pembroke Hill School in Missouri, where she competes in Policy Debate. When she joined on as Event Director in 2024, she was the youngest-ever member of the Board of Directors.
Since joining Equality in Forensics as a tournament staffer at the start of her freshman year, Meilyn has overseen the rapid expansion of weekly scrimmages to include both Extemp and Lincoln-Douglas, in addition to Congress. During her tenure as Deputy Director of Scrimmages, she led 10 tournaments with a more than 250 combined entries. She has also supported outreach in Policy Debate for the nonprofit, conducting staff and judge recruitment in the event.
As Event Director, Meilyn leads all tournaments and scrimmages for Equality in Forensics, heading outreach efforts for both students and judges to run effective competitions across all relevant speech and debate events. She manages all lectures for the YouTube page and large conferences held in partnership with other speech and debate organizations. Meilyn also supports outreach initiatives for the Summer Camp to ensure that the resource is accessible to students who need it the most.
